INSIGHTS ON WORKING WITH REFUGEES AND MIGRANTS TO CHANGE POLICY AND PRACTICE
We are happy to share insights from RYVU on how the work with refugees and migrants can change policy and practice as part of the New Scientist’s 2023 campaign on Refugees & Migration.
In collaboration with Media Planet UK and the New Scientist, Professor Matt Baillie Smith highlighted in this piece how academics with specialist knowledge in humanitarian crises, volunteering and livelihoods at Northumbria University, UK are working with academic partners, international organisations and groups of refugees and migrants to deliver research which improves understanding and promotes changes in policy and practice, including the Refugee Youth Volunteering Uganda (RYVU) research project.
